The Negev Bedouin Society Research and Knowledge Center held a roundtable with professionals from the education system, the health funds, and the local authorities, with the aim of discussing the findings of the research conducted by the Center which deals with the health reality of children in the Bedouin localities. The discussion focused on proposals for streamlining and improving the health status of school students in particular and youth in general, and during the discussion ideas were raised for developing applicable intervention programs.

During the roundtable, topics were raised such as the instilling of healthy nutrition habits, physical activity from a young age, improving accessibility to medical services and monitoring health data, as well as cooperation between the educational system, the authorities and the Center to promote children’s health.

The roundtable constitutes part of the Center’s working model, which combines research, intervention programs and impact evaluation.
